Affordable and Delicious Grilled Pork Ribs and BBQ Prawn in Singapore

 

LENAS

I decided to write a memorable full review about my food experiences at LENAS restaurant because of the satisfying food quality and affordable meals. Furthermore, their grilled steaks and seafood, variety of food options and reasonable food prices. Ambience was appropriate for casual dating, family and friends dinner outings. 

LENAS is the hippest restaurant that serves western cuisine like pasta and flame-grilled steaks, grilled prawn chicken & lamb rack, and a range of roasted ribs. They also dish out all-time favourite appetisers, ice cream, hot and cold desserts. 

Aracini Mozzarella and Buffalo Wings

We tried two chef's recommended appetisers. Arancini mozzarella and buffalo wings were light and savoury. The cheesy balls were made of deep fried breaded rice balls stuffed with mozzarella cheese. There are no meat stuffed in the balls. Mozzarella balls were crispy and chewy outside, warm, soft and cheesy inside. They also served four pieces of seasoning chicken wings with Thai chilli sauce. Buffalo wings' taste was similar to deep fired chicken wings that I had in other restaurants. The skin of chicken wings were crunchy and slightly spicy. The meat were juicy and simply delicious. 

Mushroom fritto and calamari fritto are also highly recommended by the chef. Other finger food include cold cut piatto, parmesan fries, many cooking styles of potatoes, garlic bread, onion rings, meatballs, soup and baked mussels. Most of the appetisers are suitable for vegetarians. 

Roast and grilled meat portions are moderate with reasonable price. Roast chicken, pork ribs and grilled prawn were savoury. The grilled prawns were super savoury, fresh and flavourful. The meat between the grilled pork ribs were tender, easy to come off and chew. It was coated with spicy and sweet based taste. Baby pork ribs were succulent and value for money. Roast chicken was seasoned generously inside and out. It was fragrant, tender and loaded with flavour. Skin was perfectly golden crispy.

There are various ways to mix and match these main course served with side dishes at Main Course Surf & Turf or sharing platter at Main Course Roasted Special and Combo.

Mia Vanilla

Our dinner was complete with a cup of Mia Vanilla. It was made of double scoop of vanilla gelato with cornflakes, maraschino cherry, whipped cream, wafer biscuit, peaches and marshmallows. Taste and dessert presentation were mediocre. 

There are 44 types of pasta available in LENAS restaurant! Pasta were served with different kinds of seafood like soft shelled crab, mussels, salmon and dory apart from beef, duck and poultry. They serve wide selection of baked rice and pizza too! Vegetarians will be excited to know that there are 8 different ways of cooking Veggie Pasta.

Local restaurant chain Ministry of Food shuts more than 50 outlets islandwide. The only LENAS restaurants can be found at Tampines 1 shopping mall at far east in Singapore. If MOF opens a new outlet in the central, I will visit LENAS again to try White Wine Deluxe Seafood pasta, their special menu.  

With plenty of inexpensive options of eating out in Singapore, I think it would be worthy to spend your lunch or dinner here. However, LENAS is not baby-friendly as the tables and chairs are arranged close to each other and no space for baby strollers.
