Must-Try Steakhouse Restaurant in Singapore

Outback Steakhouse

Outback Steakhouse is an Australian inspired steakhouse restaurant worldwide. Over 950 Outback Steakhouse Restaurants can be found in 20 countries around the world; Asia, Middle East, North America, Latin America and Caribbean.

Outback Steakhouse in Singapore delivers high quality and wide variety of delicious choices of steak, ribs, seafood, chicken, pasta, appetisers, burgers and salad. They are especially specialised in cooking steak, seafood and appetisers that make Outback Steakhouse Restaurant popular in Singapore. They use wet aging method to make the beef tender. Wet aging is an amazing technique that uses the beef’s own natural enzymes to help tenderize the proteins present. This method is simpler, as compared to dry aging, and preserves the full weight of the meat. All steaks are wet aged in its own natural juices for at least 14 days, which considerably adds to a steak’s flavour and tenderness.

Crispy Calamari

When we reached the entrance, we were attended and seated immediately. Food was served quickly. Crispy calamari was a delectable way to enjoy eating squid. This was best calamari that I ever had. Golden fried batter was crispy on the outside and exquisitely tender on the inside. If you are looking for more crispy fried appetisers, check this link Food Menu for crunchy shrimp, onion strings, chicken bites, cheesy fries, mushrooms and wings.

Signature Ribeye Steak

Ribeye is steak lover's all-time favourite. The steak is tender, juicy and flavourful. Price for 284g of ribeye is $49.90 excluding side dishes. It is well-marbled, juicy and savoury. The steak is seasoned and seared with secret 17 seasoning blend or chargrilled over an open flame. Ribeye steak was served with 2 side dishes, corn on the cob and baked potato. You may choose other side dishes such as fresh seasonal vegetables, rice pilaf, mashed potatoes and Aussie potato fries.

There are four more choices of steak; sirloin ($37.90 for 226g), New York Strip ($45.90 for 284g), fillet ($47.90 for 226g) and The Porterhouse ($59.90 for 510g). Price for steak is above average but portions are generous enough for two small eaters per dish. Sometimes Outback Steakhouse offers 1-for-1 set lunch promotion and discounts. Check for their offers at their Facebook page.

BBQ Whole Chicken

BBQ Whole Chicken is smoked chicken, roasted and glazed with special BBQ sauce and served with coleslaw and Aussie potato fries. Barbecued chicken was huge, well coated with a lot of nice thick glaze of sauce attached to the chicken skin. Chicken was tender and fresh. From my point of view, steak was tastier than BBQ chicken. The chicken was not perfectly roasted. There was no taste of char-grilled meat. Chicken skin was not crispy enough. Perhaps, some will prefer this type of barbecued chicken instead of burnt flavour and crispy texture.

Overall, I was satisfied with the food quality and taste. Staffs were responsive and service was great. The restaurant can be crowded in the weekends. If you have babies, do make an appointment and come early as soon as the restaurant is open. This place is definitely kids-friendly and good to have meals here with family and friends.
