Beautiful Beaches From Down Under

Beaches Along Great Ocean Road

We visited Anglesea beach by a tour bus from Melbourne City. We bought day tour tickets at one of the travel agencies in Melbourne Central. We departed near their shop and took one of the world's most scenic coastal touring routes, spanning hundreds kilometres along the stunning coastline of Victoria's south-west. There were spectacular views as the road winds along cliff tops and stopped at one of the beaches. I was invigorated by the fresh ocean breezes and revel in the rugged coastal landscapes of Great Ocean Road all year round. The beaches and coastlines along Great Ocean Road are suitable for paddling, swimming or surfing in the waves.

We took a stroll along pristine beaches, and gazed out to the blue ocean. I love this beach because of the great waves, sand is so fine and clean. It's perfect for kids as well. There are no seaweeds and rocks scattered on the white beach. In addition, it's not crowded where you have more space to walk around and destress yourself. You can enjoy the tranquility and listen to the relaxing sound of big waves. There are plenty of parking for caravans, buses and cars.

Anglesea beach is an excellent destination for surfing and moderately safe for swimming. With the beautiful beach, you may like to learn surfing with Go Ride A Wave, which is the largest surfing organisation in Australia. The waves are quite strong. Thus, it's advisable not to swim too far in the sea though lifesavers patrol this area regularly during summer. Be careful as there are submerged rocks in the sea.

I managed to take amazing pictures. Weather was good in October. During spring season from September to November, the beach is cool, windy and sunny. If you are an avid photographer, it is the best time to visit this beautiful beach. The sky is blue and clear, the sand appears smooth, deep orange like desert sand.

There is large vegetation-covered sand dunes to protect the beach. It is a great place to relax on the beach. Anglesea Beach is an excellent family friendly ocean escape. Number of visitors surge in summer season, reaching peak during Christmas and New Year's Eve, as Melbourne residents visit the beach for holiday. Anglesea Beach is also a timeshare dog friendly area. From 1st December to 28th February, dogs are only permitted off leash between 7pm and 9am. All other times, dogs are allowed off leash, under control.

This picture is one of my favourite photographs captured in Anglesea beach. Feeling was wonderful while standing there. I was mesmerised by the fantastic sea view and waves crashing on the rocks. If you are pregnant, avoid walking around this area as there are uneven rocks and flowing sea water.
